Now most players probably know the Rocky launch of CyberPunk 2077. The performance of the game on the last generation consoles has led to an increase in repayment requests, with Sony possibly opting to entirely pull the playstation store game. Now, more than six months after the fact, Sony and CD Projekt Red confirmed that the game returned to the PlayStation Store later this month.
The references to this were for the first time in a regulatory disclosure filed by CD PROJEKT before Sony is confirmed with Polygon that the game actually does return on June 21, 2021. Does this mean that the game is corrected? Although it is undoubtedly a better state than expected, Sony had a warning for PS4 players in the statement issued in the polygon.
“SIE can confirm that CyberPunk 2077 will be re-passed on PlayStation Store from June 21, 2021,” Sony spokesperson told Polygon. “Users will continue to know performance issues with PS4 edition while CD ProjekT Red continues to improve stability on all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience. “
So, even if CyberPunk 2077 makes a big return to the PlayStation store, PlayStation 4 owners should always expect the game to happen badly. CD Projekt Red delivered some big patches to strengthen performance, but still work. Indeed, apart from the two main fixes, it was shipped at the beginning of the year, CD PROJEKT RED plans to spend 2021 deliver smaller updates with patches and optimizations.
The big question is whether CyberPunk 2077 will come to a truly strong condition on standard PS4 and Xbox One models. For now, console players should probably stay away unless you’re on the Xbox One X / PS4 Pro or Current-Gen Consoles like PS5 or Xbox Series X | S. We will let you know when more CyberPunk 2077 is revealed, but for now, look for reappearance on the PlayStation store next week.
