HP has managed to name a name by creating attractive and unique laptops. Your spectrum notebooks are some of the most beautiful PCs, while the original spectrum folio was a mixture of leather and metal. The company continues to persecute the superlatives as “thinner” or “lighter” with their elite dragonfly series, but it is also bringing striking features in their portfolio. The HP Elite Folio is a true Hodgepodge of those ideas: It has a compilation of leather, a touch screen, a Snapdragon 8CX power, LTE connectivity and a pencil with WACOM technology. On paper, this is a convincing mix of characteristics. But in a whopping $ 1,889, elite folio is horribly expensive for a windmaker in the arm.
One of HP’s largest strengths are his unique and attractive designs. In a sea of metallic rounded rectangles, elite folio is certainly highlighted. Its outdoor covered with vegan leather is tasteful and soft to the touch. Take it almost made me feel professional.
Although opening elite folio is a bit complicated, however. Because it has a front screen, sometimes the panel leaves the lid when I am just trying to open it in portable mode. This happens around 50 percent of the time: I want a block to keep the screen instead when I do not want to slide forward.
However, when the laptop is configured, everything works as it should. The hinge is strong enough to keep the screen at any angle, and the small slot between the screen and the keyboard that the houses and the charges, the active HP Slim feather included is convenient. This small slot, by the way, is also where you will find the SIM card tray, is hidden under the far right. Honestly, it’s a bit hard to find if you do not know where to look at: I had to ask for HP where my SIM card should go.
The speakers flank the keyboard and a USB-C port sits on each side of the machine, with a headphone jack on the right. While there is no fingerprint sensor for session beginnings, you can use facial recognition through the 720p infrared hybrid webcam. I also appreciate the mechanical privacy shutter here, although I want the superior bezel a little thinner.
