Supervillain Thanos returned to Fortnite again, this time in the form of a new tournament open for all players. Called Thanos Cup, this new non-cash tournament will give players the opportunity to unlock Thanos Skin and Back Bling related to free. You will need a partner to compete because the Thanos Cup is only a duo.
Thanos has made some appearances in Fortnite during the previous season, including a large crossover when players can control a supervillain and use it to slaughter the opponent’s hordes. With the Thanos Cup, the player who previously did not acquire the skin, which was based on the film Endgame Avengers, would be able to open it for free.
These clothes are also offered along with bling back characters, plus characters will arrive at the Battle Royale game item store for everyone to buy. This is not the first time we have seen the skin arrive early as a gift for new challenges, and it seems epic will stick to the same type of gameplay structure that we see, for example, previous galaxy skin.
The Thanos Cup will take place on June 21. Players who want to participate need to get a duo partner and play up to 10 matches in a period of three hours. Every match will contribute points on the total team, with the number of points given based on things like how many eliminations obtained by the players and whether they reach the Royal victory.
If you get a total of at least eight points – which will be as simple as playing eight matches – you will get Thanos Watches spray. The ranking you need to achieve to get Thanos S clothes will depend on the area of your server. For example, players in the North American-East Server region need to rank somewhere between 1 and 1.575 to get clothes.
