Microsoft can really call it Windows 10x, considering the next release still has many similarities with Windows 10. If not for appointments and the teasers are made before, it might be lost with that name in the first place. Unfortunately, Windows 10x is now equipped with its own luggage, hope, and disappointment so that Microsoft wants to distance itself from.
It won’t do itself and the user is favored with the name of Windows 11 too. People will enter a new version that expects something new and, apart from the initial UI, will come to wonder if something has changed at all. Microsoft will most likely try to drive Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 users to update to Windows 11, which will only reopen the old wounds on how to blame upgrading to Windows 10 just a few years ago. One good thing about this minor update is probably not going to damage people as much as it’s just enough just Windows 10 below.
